On February 24, the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company organized personnel to visit the Lvyin Seed Industry Park in Chengliu Town, Jiyuan City, Henan Province, China. The staff thoroughly learned about how the electricity is being used in the vegetable seedling area, conducted inspections for potential hazards of electrical facilities, and carried out operation and maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable power supply.

Jiyuan City is a major seed production base for cruciferous vegetables, with its vegetable seeds exported to over 20 countries and regions worldwide. In response to the current temperature fluctuations and the high electricity demand for seedling growth and irrigation, the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company dispatched staff to seed industry parks and seedling bases with greenhouse facilities. They carried out on-site inspections of transformers, distribution boxes, power lines, and other equipment, assessing the electrical systems  related to temperature control, ventilation, and water supply in the greenhouses. Additionally, they offered guidance to customers on improving daily equipment management and risk prevention.

With the arrival of the Rain Water solar term, activities such as water diversion and irrigation for moisture conservation have become more frequent. The State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company has established 189 power assurance grids and organized staff to inspect power supply lines, distribution transformer stations, and electrical facilities for irrigation wells in the fields, effectively eliminating any potential hazard discovered. They have also set up a green channel for electricity services to meet the electricity needs of the local residents. In the past two weeks, the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company has avoided and coped with 65 electrical safety hazards and processed 102 electricity service requests to meet customers’ needs.

Additionally, the company has created a WeChat group for power supply services to monitor real-time electricity use in seedling cultivation, emergence, and planting, ensuring a stable power supply so as to support the high-quality development of the vegetable seed industry.
