Jiaozuo, Henan: Reliable Power Services Safeguard the Development of Characteristic Agriculture

On April 15, in the ginger washing workshop of Qingfeng Vegetable Cooperative in Dongge Village, Heyang Street, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, the machines were operating at full capacity, and the workers were busy washing small yellow ginger. Early in the morning, staff from the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company arrived at the cooperative to provide on-site services to guarantee a stable power supply for the development of the ginger industry.

The Qingfeng Vegetable Cooperative can wash one million kilograms of ginger annually, engaging more than 50 surrounding households in ginger cultivation on over 400 mu (approximately 26.7 hectares) of land. Processes such as ginger washing and processing have relatively high requirements for the power supply. In particular, the stable operation of the ginger washing machines is crucial for ensuring the quality and output of ginger.

Staff from the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company proactively provided on-site services and conducted a comprehensive inspection of the electrical equipment. They focused on detecting potential safety risks in ginger washing machines, lighting equipment, and power distribution lines. “The ginger industry is the pillar of Dongge Village. We have always paid close attention to the electricity consumption needs of the cooperative, and we regularly provide on-site services to help solve any issues concerning electricity use,” said Liu Fuhao, Director of the Heyang Power Supply Station under the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company. Additionally, the staff also provided essential safety guidelines about safe electricity usage among the employees of the cooperative, and offered guidance on the correct operation of electrical equipment to prevent equipment failures caused by misuse.

In recent years, through the characteristic agricultural development model of “one village, one product,” Dongge Village has established a complete industrial chain system covering ginger cultivation, procurement, and sales, which has spurred the development of the ginger industry in neighboring townships. The State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company will continue to pay close attention to the development needs of the agricultural industry, optimize its power supply services, and provide strong power support for rural revitalization and farmers’ prosperity.
