In vibrant April, the staff of State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Company Limited have been working tirelessly on the front line. They ensure uninterrupted power supply for spring farming and residential needs through "zero-outage" operations, emerging as the most admirable "Guardians of Light" this spring.
Recently, dressed in insulated suits and carrying tool bags, line inspectors shuttled along the fire prevention paths in the mountains. Holding an infrared thermometer, one inspector conducted a section-by-section inspection of the transmission lines. At an inspection point along the line, a drone took off into the air and carried out a comprehensive scan of the tower foundations and insulators with a high-definition camera. Meanwhile, large screens in the ground monitoring center displayed the inspection images in real time as technicians marked and analyzed the data. This "human-machine collaboration" has significantly improved the operation and maintenance efficiency of the power grid in mountainous areas.
Beside a 10kV line in the Weibei Plain, a live-line worker clad in a heavy shielding suit ascended 15 meters in an insulated aerial lift. In the distance, wisps of smoke curled from village chimneys while the rumble of spring ploughing machinery echoed across the fields.
