Recently, staff members from State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Co., Ltd. visited the fields to inspect and maintain power facilities such as agricultural irrigation lines and transformers. They promptly eliminated potential safety hazards to ensure a safe and reliable power supply for drought relief in agriculture.
In recent days, Nanyang City in Henan Province has experienced sustained high temperatures and drought. The lack of effective rainfall has posed significant challenges to agricultural production. In response, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Co., Ltd. has carried out comprehensive inspections and maintenance of power lines and equipment in agricultural production areas, conducted scientific analysis of drought impacts on grid load, and implemented rational grid operation scheduling. The Company has also scheduled planned maintenance outages to minimize the impact on agricultural irrigation.
To strengthen emergency response, the Company has formed a specialized power repair team, implemented a 24-hour duty system, and prepared ample spare parts and emergency materials. These measures ensure that repair teams can respond immediately in the event of a power outage and maintain a stable power supply for irrigation.
To meet urgent irrigation needs, the Company has opened a green channel to simplify electricity application procedures and shorten processing time. Staff members have proactively engaged with farmers and agricultural cooperatives to gain a detailed understanding of their power demands, assisted in inspecting and maintaining equipment such as water pumps and irrigation lines, provided on-site technical guidance, and carried out safety education campaigns to enhance farmers’ awareness of electrical safety and self-protection.
Going forward, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Co., Ltd. will continue to closely monitor weather patterns and the electricity needs of agricultural irrigation. With stronger measures and more meticulous services, the Company will mobilize all available resources to safeguard the power supply and ensure that the public can access electricity in a timely and safe manner during the irrigation season.
