State Grid Shennongjia Power Supply Company Fully Safeguards “5·19 China Tourism Day” Hubei Branch Venue

On May 19, 2025, the 15th “China Tourism Day” Hubei branch venue event commenced at the Shennongtan Alter Scenic Area in Shennongjia Forest District. State Grid Shennongjia Power Supply Company fully activated its “escort mode” for power supply assurance, providing robust support for this cultural tourism event.

To meet the power demands of the main venue, State Grid Shennongjia Power Supply Company proactively engaged with organizers to understand requirements in advance and continuously monitored electrical loads based on venue functions, equipment types, and peak usage periods. The company deployed an emergency generator vehicle, one UPS power unit, and over 10 power support personnel on 24-hour standby to ensure second-tier emergency response and seamless power switching.

To guarantee uninterrupted power throughout the event, the company conducted comprehensive hazard inspections using a combination of drone surveillance and manual special patrols across the main venue, scenic area, and surrounding infrastructure. Three potential hazards—such as overgrown trees and overheating at connection points—were successfully identified and eliminated, ensuring fault-free operation of all equipment.

Additionally, power personnel carried out targeted inspections and electrical safety awareness campaigns at scenic businesses, hotels, homestays, and tourist service centers. Using infrared thermography and other advanced tools, they focused on detecting issues such as unauthorized temporary wiring, malfunctioning residual current devices (RCDs), and overloaded high-power equipment—ensuring reliable electrical safety throughout the event.
