As rural construction and wheat harvesting peak, with frequent machinery operations, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has prioritized the prevention of grid damage arising from both urban and rural construction activities. The company has adopted a coordinated approach involving manpower, physical safeguards, and institutional measures to enhance the protection of power facilities.

Professional teams are organized to regularly inspect high-risk transmission lines in areas with intensive construction and heavy traffic. These inspections focus on hazards caused by machinery and the surroundings of power towers. In high-risk zones such as farmlands and construction sites, warning signs are posted, protective fences are reinforced, and partnerships with public security and emergency departments help form rapid response teams that minimize potential impacts.

State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company works closely with departments of housing construction, transportation, and others to implement a comprehensive “report-survey-supervise” management approach for large-scale mechanical operations. For projects such as old neighborhood renovations and road expansions, dedicated personnel are assigned to oversee construction safety throughout.

During critical periods like the summer harvest and planting seasons, the company conducts joint inspections with townships and villages to strictly prohibit activities beneath power lines, such as straw burning and unauthorized tree planting.

To promote awareness of power facility protection regulations, the company leverages the “Village Connection” radio broadcast system and mobile publicity vehicles. It also produces safety awareness videos in local dialects for continuous playback in communities and villages. Additionally, training is provided for crane operators, truck drivers, and other relevant personnel to enhance their safety awareness. Incentive mechanisms have also been established to encourage the public to promptly report any signs of potential external damage to power facilities.

Looking ahead, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue to improve its inspection and prevention systems while deepening collaboration among government agencies, enterprises, and the public. These efforts aim to safeguard grid security and ensure reliable power support for economic and social development.
