Recently, at the Zengdu District No. 2 Middle School exam site in Suizhou City, Hubei Province, Song Hailin and Wang Pu—members of the State Grid Suizhou Power Supply Company’s dedicated team for college entrance exam power assurance—conducted thorough electrical inspections and testing in the school's power distribution room and teaching buildings. Other team members deployed temporary cables, connected emergency power generators, and tested dual power switches in accordance with power supply assurance protocols, ensuring “double insurance” for the power supply during the exam.

This year, Suizhou City has 13 exam sites and 27 accommodation power support points. The State Grid Suizhou Power Supply Company has developed a comprehensive power assurance plan, adopting a “one site, one plan” approach. A dedicated leadership team was also established to oversee power assurance efforts, which included inspections of transmission and distribution lines, substations, and school power distribution rooms that are critical to the exam’s electricity supply.

Operations and maintenance personnel have been systematically deployed to carry out multiple rounds of comprehensive, grid-style inspections across 18 substations and 42 transmission lines under their jurisdiction, all of which are vital for exam-time electricity security. Various methods—such as three-dimensional patrols, infrared thermography, and live-line testing—have been applied to establish a robust three-layer defense system: pre-exam checks, re-inspections before the exam, and continuous monitoring during the exam.
