2025 "Belt and Road · Brightness Journey" Mongolia Mission Held in Erenhot, Inner Mongolia

From June 20 to 23, the 2025 "Belt and Road · Brightness Journey" Mongolia Mission was held in Erenhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. This event was jointly organized by the Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Red Cross Society of Mongolia.

In 2025, the Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Red Cross Society of Mongolia, Chaoju Ophthalmology Hospital (Inner Mongolia), and the Second Central Hospital of Mongolia renewed the Sino-Mongolian "Belt and Road · Brightness Journey" Cataract Vision Restoration Surgery Program Quadripartite Agreement. According to the agreement, a Chinese medical team conducted screening examinations in Mongolia from May 20 to 24, screening a total of 414 cataract patients. Based on the screening results, from June 20 to 24, the Mongolian Red Cross Society arranged for 121 patients to travel to Erenhot City for treatment. The Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Erenhot City Red Cross Society worked together to provide centralized cataract surgeries for the patients.

The Belt and Road · Brightness Journey Mongolia Mission is a flagship transnational humanitarian cooperation program jointly organized by the Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Red Cross Society of Mongolia. This initiative has been successfully implemented for several consecutive years. The success of this latest operation once again highlights the program's positive role in promoting high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, promoting cultural exchanges, and strengthening health cooperation.
