On June 24, ahead of the 2025 “National Low-Carbon Day,” State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Company organized a series of low-carbon awareness events under the theme “Carbon Path Pioneers, Greening the Future,” as part of the State Grid Corporation of China’s “Green Ark” public welfare initiative. These activities aimed to raise public awareness of sustainable living and encourage greater participation from all sectors of society in low-carbon practices.

On the day of the event, at Taizhou’s only “Electricity Love Supermarket,” company staff acted as “low-carbon ambassadors,” delivering interactive educational sessions to nearby residents. As a key initiative of State Grid Corporation of China supporting rural revitalization and cultural development, the “Electricity Love Supermarket” is part of the broader public welfare brand, the “National Empowerment Rural Project · Love-Assisted Agriculture Action.” By integrating this initiative with the “Green Ark” program, the company used physical demonstrations, case studies, and Q&A sessions to explain how the local green power supply system works and the importance of protecting power facilities to ensure a stable green energy supply.

The “State Grid Green Ark Program” was jointly launched in 2022 by the State Grid Public Welfare Foundation and the China Environmental Protection Foundation. Aimed at conserving biodiversity through green energy and digital tools, the project focuses on protecting the habitats of rare species. By building green power supply systems in and around these habitats, it provides clean, reliable electricity and digital transformation support for biodiversity research and conservation efforts.

In recent years, State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Company has included transmission lines across Jianyang Lake National Urban Wetland in its relocation plans to make way for animal habitats and migration paths. Ecological restoration efforts have turned the area into a “bird paradise.” The company has also collaborated with local governments and relevant departments to explore green power supply models that support biodiversity, providing strong backing for the diversity, stability, and sustainability of local ecosystems.

State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Company stated that it will use “National Low-Carbon Day” as a springboard to further innovate service practices, embed green and low-carbon principles into every stage of grid construction, operation, and service, and help foster a new low-carbon lifestyle across society.
