Recently, at the road reconstruction site on Beihuan Road in Xinye County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, operation and maintenance personnel from the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company carefully inspected the protective piers near power poles and towers. They also confirmed the operation routes for large machinery with the construction supervisor to prevent vehicle collision risks. This is just one example of the company's efforts to prevent external damage to power infrastructure.

As urbanization accelerates and construction activities intensify, risks such as accidental machinery collisions, vehicles hitting poles, and ignition beneath power lines have increased. In response, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has organized comprehensive inspections of transmission and distribution lines, poles, towers, and their surrounding environments. If any issues are found, the company immediately issues rectification notices, installs warning signs and protective fences, and assigns dedicated personnel to oversee the process—ensuring that rectification efforts are fully completed and verified.

Additionally, the company has established an information-sharing platform with local government, public security, transportation, and municipal departments. This enables early intervention in projects involving large machinery operations or road construction that could pose risks to power facilities. It also guides project parties to sign safety agreements and implement strict on-site protective measures.

To strengthen community-based prevention and control, grassroots power supply stations have been mobilized to carry out targeted safety awareness campaigns in communities, villages, and construction sites. By analyzing typical cases of external damage and their consequences, the company provides educational materials and disseminates risk warnings and safe operation guidelines to high-risk groups such as crane and truck drivers through SMS, WeChat groups, and other communication channels.

Looking ahead, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will leverage advanced technologies—including precision drone inspections and online monitoring systems—to enhance its capacity to detect and warn of potential hazards. The company will also continue optimizing its joint prevention and control mechanisms to ensure grid safety.
