Currently, the used car industry is accelerating its expansion into overseas markets and has become a new driver of growth in Guizhou’s foreign trade. Since successfully completing its first export transaction in 2023, the China (Guiyang) Used Car Export Base has exported more than 2,000 vehicles as of June this year, with an export value of over 310 million yuan. The base has attracted more than 20 upstream and downstream enterprises in the used car export industry.
On June 25, the China Guiyang (Vientiane, Laos) Overseas Marketing and Service Center for Used Car Exports was officially established in Xaythany District, Vientiane, the capital of Laos. This marks the 10th overseas operational center launched by the China (Guiyang) Used Car Export Base. To date, the base has set up centers in countries and regions such as Kazakhstan, Belarus, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, the UAE, and Sierra Leone.

At the recently concluded China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, the Guiyang Municipal Commerce Bureau and the China (Guiyang) Used Car Export Base jointly set up their first dedicated exhibition area for used car exports. At the same time, the China (Guiyang)-Africa Used Car Industry Supply-Demand Matchmaking Conference was held, where Guizhou automobile enterprises signed contracts worth 81.6 million yuan with African buyers.
The rapid rise of used car exports as a new highlight in Guizhou’s foreign trade would not have been possible without strong government support. Since the base was established in the Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, it has benefited from a range of favorable policies. Departments including commerce, customs, foreign exchange administration, traffic management, taxation, and market regulation have offered integrated and tailored services for used car export enterprises. These efforts have reduced operational costs, improved business efficiency, and injected new vitality into Guizhou’s export-oriented economy.
