Recently, the independently implemented 110 kV Shuanglou Substation by State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company successfully passed its trial run, with all equipment now operating normally. This marks a successful milestone in the company’s transition toward digitalization and domestic technological solutions.

The 110 kV transmission and transformation project in Fujinan, Qi County, Kaifeng City, serves as a key pilot for State Grid Henan Electric Power Company's deployment of new-generation secondary system substations. Compared to traditional secondary systems, this new-generation version features fully localized hardware and software for relay protection, safety automation, and automation equipment. The operating system and communication protocols have also been substituted with domestic solutions, eliminating software vulnerabilities and potential risks while significantly improving the intrinsic safety level of the power grid. The substation integrates centralized monitoring, full information coverage within the station, and greatly enhanced equipment sensing capabilities.

During the construction process, State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company adopted an independent implementation model combining “Dunmiao” trainees with in-house personnel. To ensure zero-defect commissioning, the company conducted meticulous inspections and tests throughout the process—from transformer positioning, installation of bushings and accessories, vacuum pumping, HGIS gas filling, to cable laying, protection commissioning, and final testing. In total, more than 100 key indicators were reviewed and approved, ensuring the smooth commissioning of the substation.
