Huai'an, Jiangsu: Electricity Illuminates the Back-to-School Season, Safety Accompanies Children

In September, the new term arrived. Huai'an Power Supply Company of the State Grid organized volunteers to visit Huai'an Xin'an Primary School for the event "Electricity Illuminates the Back-to-School Season, Safety Accompanies Children."

Relying on the professional facilities of Xin’an’s first "Electricity Care Classroom," and using tools such as an electric shock simulator, a power safety experience system, and other devices, the volunteers delivered an engaging and informative course on electrical safety.

In the classroom, the volunteers acted as "electricity teachers." With the aid of visual materials such as PPT presentations and animated short films, and through simple language, they explained the principles of electricity generation and power transmission. Drawing on daily-life examples, they highlighted the importance of safe and energy-saving electricity use for protecting the ecological environment.

The interactive session brought the classroom atmosphere to a climax. The volunteers demonstrated on site how photovoltaic panels convert solar energy into electricity, allowing the children to directly understand the environmental benefits of green power.

In addition to the lively "Electricity Classroom," after the event the volunteers carried out a comprehensive inspection of electrical wiring and equipment on campus. They visited key areas such as the teaching building, canteen, and distribution room to examine switches, sockets, and wiring. They also applied infrared thermography to measure the temperature of critical parts in the distribution boxes, such as switches and connections, in order to accurately identify potential overheating hazards.

Looking ahead, Huai'an Power Supply Company of the State Grid will continue to improve the "Electricity Care Classroom" and regularly carry out educational activities on safe electricity use, energy conservation, and green power. These efforts aim to raise awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection among teenagers in the new era and to jointly practice a green and low-carbon lifestyle.
