As the euryale ferox harvest season reaches its peak, local farmers are busy moving through the fields, painting a vivid picture of a bountiful harvest. On September 5, Saha, an international student from Huaiyin Institute of Technology, visited Qianfeng Town, Jinhu County, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, to experience firsthand China's innovative integration of green energy and agricultural development.

A native of Bangladesh, Saha previously worked in China's energy construction sector. At the agrivoltaic base in Qianfeng Town, he expressed his amazement: "Bangladesh's second-largest photovoltaic power station was built by Chinese companies. But today in Huai'an, I'm astonished to see crops being grown in the paddies next to PV and wind power facilities!" Under the guidance of local farmers, Saha put on waterproof overalls, stepped into the paddies, and joined in picking euryale ferox—immersing himself in the "green electricity and agriculture" ecological model.

Later, Saha visited the Suqian Agricultural Industrial Park, observing the entire euryale ferox processing chain—from cleaning, drying, and sorting to automated packaging. He noted that the production line runs entirely on electricity, making it highly efficient and environmentally friendly. Green power provides strong support to the region's distinctive agricultural industry.

The experience gave Saha a vivid sense of the technological dynamism in China's rural areas. He excitedly remarked: "The same sunlight shining here is also illuminating the PV power stations back in my hometown. It is being converted into electricity that crosses national borders, injecting green momentum into the Belt and Road Initiative's joint development. Kudos to China!" (By Chen Yan)
