Zhengzhou, Henan: Ensuring Power Supply Safety During the National Day Holiday

During the recently concluded National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, State Grid Zhengzhou Power Supply Company successfully fulfilled its mission of safeguarding power supply throughout the city.

To ensure the safe and stable operation of Zhengzhou's power grid and reliable power supply for key users, as well as to meet the living and travel needs of residents during the holidays, the company carried out special power inspections before the festival. On-site checks were conducted at key facilities within its service area—including railways, hospitals, flood control pump stations, and large shopping malls—to ensure the safe operation of power equipment and reinforce the city's holiday power safety defense line.

During the inspections, staff members visited distribution rooms, underground power distribution facilities, and emergency generator rooms of major users to check equipment operation, conduit sealing, and emergency material preparedness. They also updated emergency contact information with on-site operation and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth coordination in case of emergencies.

"Manager Zhu, please make sure the fuel reserves for your emergency generator are sufficient, and conduct regular start-up tests to ensure the generator is ready for immediate use if needed," a staff member reminded during a trial run of the diesel generator at the Jingguang Road Tunnel Maintenance Center. In addition to hardware inspections, the team also reviewed users' flood control contingency plans, duty rosters, and emergency drill records to ensure management measures were properly implemented.
