On October 21, the Liupan Mountain Power Supply Station of Jingyuan County Power Supply Company launched a special campaign titled "Winter Warmth Delivery" in conjunction with its "coal-to-electricity" initiative. Through comprehensive inspections, the company extended a new 1.2-kilometer, 0.4-kilovolt (kV) power line to the Yanchiwa Forest Protection Station under the Dongshanpo Forest Farm, effectively resolving the long-standing challenge of winter heating for station employees. The effort received high praise from the Dongshanpo Forest Farm.
It is understood that the Yanchiwa Forest Protection Station, located 1.2 kilometers from Dongshanpo Village, is responsible for fire prevention, theft control, and other safety duties in the Dongshanpo forest area. It is one of the key forest fire prevention sites under the jurisdiction of Liupan Mountain Town. Due to its remote location within the forest and its distance from the power source, supplying electricity has long been difficult. In the past, staff relied on coal stoves for heating during the winter, which posed serious safety risks. The issue of winter heating had been a persistent concern for the forest farm for many years.
As temperatures in the Liupan Mountain area dropped sharply in October, the number of consultations and applications for the "coal-to-electricity" service surged at the Liupan Mountain Power Supply Station's business hall. In response to the growing demand during the winter electricity peak, the station promptly launched the "Winter Warmth Delivery" campaign to assess electricity needs across its service area. During inspections, the team learned that the Yanchiwa Forest Protection Station had recently purchased air-source heat pump heating equipment and required power access. The station immediately organized staff to install a new 1.2-kilometer-long 0.4 kV power line using 4×70 bundled conductors, connecting it to the Dongshanpo No. 3 transformer station. This upgrade fully resolved the station's winter heating difficulties.
"Thank you so much! You've truly delivered warmth in our time of need," said the person in charge of Dongshanpo Forest Farm to the construction staff of the Liupan Mountain Power Supply Station. "Your timely power supply has not only impressed us but also moved us deeply. Without your help, our employees would have faced another freezing winter."
Moving forward, the Liupan Mountain Power Supply Station will continue to monitor electricity demand for heating across its jurisdiction, adjust staff allocation as needed, and ensure zero interruptions in power supply during the winter peak period, ensuring residents stay warm and comfortable throughout the season.
