"The surface of bird-scarer tapes is coated. If blown onto power lines, they can cause outages, and if left in the fields, they pollute the environment. It is best to recycle them in a unified manner." On October 22, employees from State Grid Anshan Power Supply Company visited Xisi Town, Haicheng, Liaoning Province, to advise farmers on safe harvesting near power lines during the autumn harvest season.
Recently, State Grid Anshan Power Supply Company has worked in close collaboration with local government and departments of agriculture, water resources, and meteorology to closely monitor the agricultural schedule, weather changes, and electricity demand. The company has conducted comprehensive inspections of key facilities, including irrigation wells and pumping stations, monitored electricity usage by agricultural machinery, promoted seasonal safety tips, and addressed potential hazards. Using digital monitoring tools, it has tracked electricity consumption at major grain farms and livestock farms in real time. At the same time, it has launched grid-based inspections of power lines and equipment crossing farmlands, assigning dedicated personnel to oversee areas with concentrated farmland operations, providing robust power support for the autumn harvest.
After harvesting, proper storage is crucial. To ensure timely grain storage, the company has performed energy-efficiency diagnostics for citywide storage enterprises, established dedicated service files, developed contingency power plans, and provided round-the-clock technical support.
To meet the increased electricity demand, the company has upgraded power lines used for harvesting in advance and increased transformer capacity to guarantee uninterrupted supply for all types of harvesting equipment. The company also intensified inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, strengthened protection against external damage, and assisted farmers with harvesting and equipment commissioning.
Looking ahead, State Grid Anshan Power Supply Company will further enhance real-time monitoring and maintenance of power equipment used during the autumn harvest, upgrade its intelligent analytics platform by integrating big-data technologies, and focus on monitoring equipment operating conditions, electricity load, and environmental factors—driving the power supply system toward greater intelligence and leanness.
