On November 24, the 2025 "Daka China - Oriental Power" Hello, Anhui! Online International Communication Event was launched in Anhui Province's Chuzhou, a city in the central Yangtze River Delta. The event is directed by the Bureau of Cyber Communications of the Cyberspace Administration of China, hosted by the Cyberspace Administration of Anhui Province and CRI Online, organized by the Cyberspace Administrations of Chuzhou and Huangshan, and supported by the China Internet Development Foundation.
During the event, online influencers from Brazil, Egypt, Russia, Thailand, and many other countries will visit Chuzhou and Huangshan, sharing the stories of the rich cultural heritage and the amazing history of the Jianghuai region (roughly the region between the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and those of the Huai River) in multiple languages and capturing vivid stories of Anhui's high-quality development with their cameras and phones.

At the first stop of the event, the influencers visited Mount Langya Scenic Area in Chuzhou, which is home to Zuiweng Pavilion — the "Top Pavilion under Heaven" and a natural retreat long cherished by Ouyang Xiu (a renowned calligrapher in the 11th century). With valleys, forests, grottoes, springs, ancient paths, and cliff inscriptions, the scenic area houses landscapes where natural beauty and cultural depth blend seamlessly.
"Here on Mount Langya, I not only enjoyed the beautiful scenery but also felt the allure of Chinese culture," said a Brazilian influencer. He was particularly moved by the spirit of humility symbolized by Rang Spring (讓泉) and the philosophy of "sharing joy with people" in An Essay on Zuiweng Pavilion (醉翁亭記). "The wisdom of life and affection for the country, etched into the hearts of the Chinese people, deeply fascinated me and filled me with respect."

At Langya District Cultural Center, the influencers learned about the craftsmanship behind Langya crispy candies (瑯琊酥糖) and experienced acupuncture therapy under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. A Russian influencer said she would take the handmade candies and herbal sachet home as gifts for her family. Reflecting on her visit, she said: "What moves me the most is that Chinese culture hasn't stayed locked in the past. It remains full of vitality, deeply rooted in people's hearts and woven into everyday life."

The group then visited Wu Jingzi Memorial Hall. Following the docent, they learned about the life of this literary master and explored the background of his realist satirical novel The Scholars (儒林外史). After the tour, a Chinese influencer and an Egyptian influencer commented that Wu Jingzi's work is world-class. Through this novel, they not only gained insight into Chinese society centuries ago but also got amazed by the admirable integrity of the author. They added that The Scholars deserves a wider international readership and that they would highly recommend the book to their followers.
This event will run from November 24 to 28. In the coming days, the influencers will explore sites such as Chishan Lake National Wetland Park and Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area to capture the natural wonders of Anhui; visit Panpan Foods to learn about the transformation of the traditional food industry; tour Xiaogang Village to learn about the amazing stories of rural reform; and stroll through the Mingzhongdu Imperial City Ruins, Chengkan Ancient Village, Hongcun Village, She County, and other sites to immerse themselves in Anhui's millennia-old cultural heritage and the picturesque charm of Hui-style villages. Through multiple perspectives, they will present to the world a brand-new Anhui where nature and culture coexist, and traditions and modernity converge.
