Jiaozuo, Henan: Targeted Power Services Boost the Growth of the Chinese Yam Industry

On November 28, service personnel from the Baixiang Power Supply Office of State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company visited the Guodong Chinese Yam Planting Cooperative in Dongwangzhan Village, Wangqu Township, Jiaozuo City. They provided safety instructions on electricity use, conducted comprehensive electrical inspections, and ensured a reliable power supply for Chinese yam cultivation.

To address the frequent use of machinery in Chinese yam planting bases, staff from the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company installed anti-collision sleeves on the guy wires of 136 utility poles and placed reflective warning tape in equipment areas to prevent accidental collisions during harvest. They also use drones, infrared thermography, and online monitoring systems to assess equipment conditions, promptly resolving issues such as tree obstructions and overheating to ensure stable power for cleaning, sorting, cold storage, and other processing stages.
