The first full marathon event in Renhuai City, Zunyi, Guizhou Province, will kick off on March 22. The total scale of the event will reach 15,000 participants, including 6,000 for the full marathon and 9,000 for the half marathon. Registration is now fully open and will close on February 15, 2026.
This event is classified as a Category C race by the Chinese Athletics Association. The route cleverly connects the city’s modern landscape with the scenic views of the "Liquor Capital."
As a city renowned worldwide for its Maotai-flavored baijiu, Renhuai’s hosting of the marathon reflects both its internal need to transform from "selling liquor" to "selling lifestyles" and an important initiative to promote the deep integration of culture, tourism, sports, and commerce.

The event is full of highlights and will offer runners an immersive cultural journey. The course has been meticulously designed as a cultural and scenic route "with stories, flavors, and landscapes," featuring displays of baijiu culture and craftsmanship along the way, allowing runners to experience the rich aroma of the Liquor Capital while running.
Before the race, the organizing committee will host a "Marathon Consumption Festival," showcasing Renhuai’s baijiu and agricultural specialties. Along the route, there will be intangible cultural heritage performances and folk art displays. After the race, the finish line will transform into a themed market featuring food, cultural creativity, and interactive activities. These arrangements aim to achieve the concept of "one runner, fun for the whole family," upgrading the event into a city-wide festival for all to enjoy.
