As the 2026 Spring Festival draws near, Qingyang apples—widely regarded as symbols of sweetness and abundance—have ushered in a peak sales season. Thanks to the Qingyang Apple International Procurement Platform, this signature fruit from the Loess Plateau has made its way onto the Spring Festival shopping lists of more and more households overseas.
Through live-streaming sales on major e-commerce platforms and offline direct sales, these delicious apples from the Longyuan region—known for their vibrant color, crisp texture, and sweet flavor—are reaching consumers in Southeast Asia and beyond via Silk Road trade routes and dedicated online channels, further fueling the robust "sweet economy."
Qingyang Modern Apple Sorting Center
A busy scene unfolds inside the modern sorting center in Qingyang. High-speed automated production lines handle a full range of processes, including weighing, optical grading, and sugar-content testing. Workers deftly label and pack the apples, with boxes of finished products continuously transported to the loading area. From there, they are shipped via cold-chain logistics to fresh food markets and supermarket chains in Thailand and Malaysia.
Qingyang Apples Ready for Export to Southeast Asia
"As the Spring Festival approaches, we are in the midst of the peak export season for Qingyang apples. In the past, apple cultivation and harvesting relied mainly on manual labor and experience, resulting in lower yields and limited market access. But things are different now. We have adopted intelligent management systems, including smart seedling cultivation, automated drip irrigation, pest early-warning systems, online sorting, and visual monitoring. As a result, our harvests have improved year after year. Qingyang apples are now exported to Southeast Asian markets. Behind every step—from seedling cultivation to cold chain logistics—is a stable power supply ensured by the continuous support and proactive services of the power supply company. The reliable electricity not only gives us greater confidence when expanding into overseas markets, but also helps this 'sweet fruit of the Loess Plateau' reach global consumers," said Su Xiao, Deputy General Manager of Sales at Qingyang Juli Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.

Powered by reliable electricity and expanded market access, the Qingyang apple industry has achieved large-scale development. The city now has 1.33 million mu (approximately 219,248 acres) of apple orchards, with an annual output of 1.77 million tons. The total output value of the entire industrial chain has reached CNY 12.58 billion, increasing farmers' per capita income by CNY 2,477. Notably, Qingyang apples not only sell well in more than 20 cities across China but are also exported to 13 countries worldwide. Supported by stable power supply and smooth Silk Road trade routes, the brand reputation of Qingyang apples continues to grow stronger, making them a true "fruit of prosperity" for local farmers.
