The cultural and tourism market continued to gain momentum. According to statistics, Chaozhou received 5.368 million tourist visits from outside the city during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday.

During the Spring Festival holiday, the historic Chaozhou Prefectural Office transformed into a cultural hub where past met present, becoming a must-visit landmark. Daily ceremonial reenactments featuring a "prefect" and "guards" in traditional attire offered lively interactions, spreading good fortune for the Year of the Horse.

Within the intangible cultural heritage exhibition zone, items representing Chaozhou paper-cutting, hand-crafted clay teapots, and wood carving were on display, allowing visitors to connect with the city's enduring artistic legacy. Performances of Chaozhou drum ensembles, the 24 Solar Terms Drums, and Yingge dance troupes captivated audiences. Other attractions, including a "Sweet Sugarcane Alley," artificial snowfall, clay sculpture exhibits, and lawn concerts, created unforgettable New Year memories for tourists.

As visitors wandered through the ancient city, every turn revealed celebratory scenes. On the iconic Guangji Bridge, lion dances welcomed the new year, offering visitors a unique blend of local flavor and festive cheer. In Chaoren Park, vibrant flower displays and diverse folk activities added to the joyful, harmonious atmosphere.

During the holiday period, Chaozhou launched a series of events under the theme "A Fortunate Encounter with Chaozhou," seamlessly integrating intangible cultural heritage displays, folk parades, performances, artisan markets, and interactive experiences. This fusion allowed traditional culture to shine anew during the Spring Festival celebrations.
