In Fengcheng, Jiangxi Province, a tract of land once heaped with fly ash has now become what local residents call a "sunshine treasure."
Elderly villagers in Quantang still remember the old ash dump well: whenever the wind blew, dust covered their faces, and no one wanted to go near it. Today, however, the scene is entirely different. Rows upon rows of photovoltaic panels glisten in the sunlight, forming an unusual yet beautiful pastoral landscape alongside the surrounding rice fields, villages, and ponds.

This 100-megawatt photovoltaic power station generates more than 100 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by over 90,000 tons each year. What was once an abandoned ash field shunned by all has undergone a remarkable transformation into a green power station.
To support the high-quality development of new energy, State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power Co., Ltd. has taken proactive and targeted measures, continuously deepening its full-process tracking and whole-cycle support mechanisms. It has optimized and upgraded its customized "one enterprise, one policy" service model, providing companies with a one-stop closed-loop service that covers everything from installation consultation and grid-connection approval in the early stages of new energy projects to daily operation, inspection, and maintenance in later stages. At the same time, by strengthening routine inspections of grid-connection equipment and improving the scientific dispatching of the power grid, the company has continued to reinforce the "safety line" for green electricity transmission, ensuring that every kilowatt-hour of green power can be generated, transmitted reliably, and used efficiently.

Today, the results of the energy transition are gradually becoming visible across the land of Ganpo. By the end of 2025, the installed capacity of new energy sources in Jiangxi Province, including wind and solar power, had reached 35.79 million kilowatts, accounting for 44.7 percent of the province's total installed capacity, making it an important pillar supporting green local economic development.
