Nanyang, Henan: Reliable Power Supply Boosts Rural Industrial Development

Recently, at a Welsh onion production base in Miaodian Town, Sheqi County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, machines move through the fields as farmers added soil around rows of Welsh onion seedlings.

Covering more than 2,000 mu (approximately 329 acres), the base produces over 50 tons of Welsh onions daily for distribution across China. After expanding its planting area, the base required electricity for its newly built washing workshop. The grower submitted a power access application in the morning, and the electricity meter was installed and power connected the same afternoon. This highly efficient service has earned the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company high praise from local growers.

Based on the load characteristics at each stage of Welsh onion growth, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has planned in advance and extended on-site services to the fields. It has used intelligent inspection equipment to conduct safety checks on irrigation lines and water pumps, ensuring the safe operation of power systems.
