State Grid Volunteers and Foreign Teacher Co-Teach Environmental Protection Class in Huanggang

On April 20, with the 57th World Earth Day approaching, young volunteers from the State Grid Huanggang Power Supply Company, together with Nana, a foreign teacher from Zimbabwe, delivered an environmental protection class themed "Cherish Natural Resources, Protect a Beautiful China" to kindergarten children. The class aimed to guide children in fostering energy conservation and environmental protection awareness, strengthening their scientific understanding of ecological civilization.

At Wanjin Kindergarten in Huangmei County, the volunteers used cartoons and picture books to explain the origin and significance of World Earth Day. They popularized low-carbon and eco-friendly concepts, as well as knowledge about new energy sources such as photovoltaics, wind power, and tidal energy, sharing practical electricity-saving tips using daily life examples. They designed interactive activities such as "Draw the Most Beautiful Earth in Your Heart," a signature pledge titled "I Will Take the Lead in Protecting Our Home," and a group singalong of "Our Earth." These activities sparked the children's interest in learning through an immersive experience, encouraging them to truly fall in love with the scientific journey of exploring nature and protecting the environment.
