On the morning of May 13, the Nanma Traffic Police Squadron of the Dongyang Public Security Bureau in Zhejiang Province identified a serious traffic accident through video surveillance at the Gefu traffic light intersection. A large flatbed truck, while making a right turn, accidentally struck an electric bicycle and dragged both the vehicle and its rider under the truck. The situation was extremely critical.

Treating the emergency with utmost urgency, Jin Tao, head of the Nanma Traffic Police Squadron, immediately led on-duty officers to the scene. Upon arrival, police swiftly cordoned off the area, placed traffic cones to secure the roadway, directed vehicles and pedestrians to detour in an orderly manner, and implemented both upstream traffic diversion and on-site traffic control at the intersection. These measures minimized the accident's impact on local traffic and helped prevent secondary accidents.

At the same time, traffic police immediately coordinated with firefighting and emergency medical teams to carry out a joint rescue operation. Faced with the complex situation of the electric bicycle and rider trapped beneath the truck, rescuers worked against the clock in close coordination, using specialized cutting and lifting equipment to conduct the rescue operation. Meanwhile, officers at the scene maintained order throughout the rescue process and managed surrounding traffic, ensuring a safe and unobstructed "lifeline" for emergency responders.

Thanks to the efficient coordination and rapid response of all personnel involved, the trapped victim was successfully rescued within just half an hour and immediately transferred to an ambulance for treatment at a hospital. The entire emergency response was carried out in a professional and orderly manner. Traffic at the scene was quickly restored, and no prolonged or large-scale congestion occurred on nearby roads.
