Anhui Targets New Breakthroughs in Advancing the “Three Hubs and One Zone” Strategy

On the morning of May 15, the Information Office of the People’s Government of Anhui Province held a special press conference on the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan at the Provincial Administration Center.

The conference noted that the 15th Five-Year Plan period will be a crucial period for Anhui to strengthen its foundations, make all-round efforts, and strive for excellence. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the province’s GDP reached 5.3 trillion yuan, and the revenue of its industrial enterprises above designated size ranked fifth nationwide. In the first quarter of 2026, Anhui’s GDP grew by 5.8%, and its total imports and exports rose by 31.6%, marking a stable start.

Anhui has been deeply integrating into the development of the Yangtze River Delta region. In 2025, its total foreign trade exceeded 1 trillion yuan, ranking ninth nationwide and first in central China. Anhui also ranked first in China in vehicle exports; one in every four vehicles exported by China was made in Anhui.

Anhui will advance pioneering reforms, further improve the “Anhui Engaging the World” Global Partnership Program, and further integrate its industries into global supply and value chains.
