In the early summer, bayberries in Luodian County, Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou Province have ushered in a bountiful harvest. Fruit farmers are busy picking, sorting, and transporting the fruit to meet market demand. At the same time, Luodian County is further promoting the integrated development of agriculture and tourism by hosting a series of bayberry-picking season events. It has also set up online and offline sales platforms to expand bayberry sales channels and boost farmers' incomes.
In recent years, leveraging its favorable climate, Luodian County has actively guided local residents to make good use of land resources. Adopting a "company + cooperative + farmer" model, the county has been vigorously developing a high-quality bayberry industry. In 2026, the bayberry planting area in Luodian County reached 18,500 mu (approximately 1,233 hectares), of which 13,300 mu (about 887 hectares) are bearing fruit. The total output is expected to reach 8,100 tonnes, with an output value of 47 million yuan.
