Super 'Power Banks' Ensure Stable Production for Enterprises

"The 110-kV Fengcheng Substation is under maintenance these days, but there is no need to worry. We have adopted a line power transfer plan and deployed mobile power generation vehicles, so your order fulfillment will not be disrupted." On May 19, carbon efficiency service engineers from the State Grid Huzhou Electric Power Company visited Zhejiang Yongyu Home Furnishing Co., Ltd. and tailored a power plan for the enterprise. "You may arrange more night shifts and fewer daytime shifts, and shift major production tasks to off-peak electricity hours. This will not only help you avoid peak power demand but also cut production costs."

Staff members visit an enterprise on-site to learn about power needs and formulate tailored electricity plans.

From May 18 to 22, the 110-kV Fengcheng Substation underwent a full-scale comprehensive maintenance, which covered the renovation of on-site protection devices for main transformers, connection work for the supporting outgoing project of the 110-kV Guishan Substation, and other tasks. The maintenance involved a wide scope, numerous enterprises and posed arduous power guarantee tasks for the team. In response, the company made advance arrangements and took proactive measures to launch a special power guarantee campaign. By combining mobile power generation vehicles with staggered production schedules for enterprises, it coordinated grid upgrading and power supply for industrial users, fostering sound customer relations with practical actions.

Eight 10 kV medium-voltage emergency power generation vehicles are connected at the power guarantee site.

During the substation maintenance, the State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company conducted round-the-clock dynamic monitoring on grid voltage, load and output of distributed photovoltaic power generation in the area, to optimized the power transfer plan for the distribution network of Fengcheng Substation. Working together with Zhejiang Huayun Clean Energy Co., Ltd., the company adjusted the output of eight 10 kV mobile power generation vehicles in real time. Acting like giant power banks, these units ensured stable production for surrounding enterprises. Meanwhile, collaborating with local authorities to activate the secondary load management system, the company adopted refined load control measures for relevant industrial enterprises. Its carbon efficiency service engineers visited and inspected 114 enterprises, guiding 89 of them to implement staggered production.

  "So far, we have shifted around 3,000 kilowatts of power load every day, with an average daily transferred electricity volume of 16,000 kilowatt-hours. This has helped enterprises cut electricity expenses by a total of 54,000 yuan," said Han Liukang, one of the company's carbon efficiency service engineers. He added that this operation served as a practical drill ahead of the hot summer, effectively easing the pressure of power supply guarantee during peak summer electricity consumption. It also provides valuable experience for ensuring the safety of the main power grid and reliable power use for enterprise production.

Taking this activity as an opportunity, the State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company will continue to implement the customer-oriented service mechanism, and further integrate grid maintenance with carbon efficiency services.
