The 28th Hunan (Nanshan) Liuyueliu Folk Song Festival and “United for Progress” Chengbu Singing Walk Event Open

On the evening of July 19, the outdoor plaza of the Ethnic Culture and Sports Center in Chengbu Miao Autonomous County, Hunan, was brightly lit, filled with songs, and bustling with activity. The 28th Hunan (Nanshan) Liuyueliu Folk Song Festival and the “United for Progress” Chengbu Singing Walk Event held its opening ceremony and cultural performance there.

Coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Chengbu Miao Autonomous County, the performance was themed “United for Progress” and “Folk Songs Lead the Way to Nanshan.” Through a series of immersive segments, the show seamlessly integrated Chengbu’s intangible cultural heritage, picturesque landscapes, and the theme of ethnic unity, creating a series of highlights throughout the performance.

In addition to the opening ceremony and cultural performance, the festival also features several themed activities, including the Red Pomegranate Ethnic Folk Song Showcase, the “Flavors of Nanshan” Ethnic Cultural Products Market, the “Nanshan Leisure Camp,” and the “Miao Culture Experience.”
