Huai’an, Jiangsu: Live-Line Operations Ensure Reliable Power Supply Amid Heatwave

Under summer heat, power load continues to rise. Recently, State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company organized live-line operating personnel to carry out operations on the 10 kV Longgang 165 Line in Hongze District without interrupting power supply, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid during the peak summer season.

At the site, the operating personnel used two bucket trucks working in coordination to carry out tasks including removing lightning arresters, converting straight poles into tension poles, and connecting jumper wires.

The personnel strictly followed standard procedures for live-line operations, implementing insulation shielding, safety protection measures, and equipment inspections. Aerial workers and the ground crew worked closely together to complete all tasks in an orderly manner.

During the operation, the personnel overcame the challenges posed by high temperatures and continued working at height, successfully completing the line equipment upgrade work. The operation helped ensure safe and reliable power supply for users during the peak summer season.
