In August, as early autumn arrives, the mountain fields of Renhuai, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, enter the harvest season for red sorghum. Across the countryside along the Chishui River Valley, 360,000 mu (approximately 24,000 hectares) of Hongyingzi glutinous sorghum are ripening one after another, with bright red panicles hanging heavily from the stalks. Tier upon tier of terraced fields ripple like crimson waves, creating a vivid scene of a bumper harvest. (By Renhuai Integrated Media Center)
