Mingyue Mountain, in southwestern Yichun, Jiangxi Province, is where Chang’e is said to have ascended to the moon. This legend has earned Yichun the name ‘City of the Moon.’ The area continues to draw on moon culture to develop cultural tourism. The 20th Moon Culture Tourism Festival opened during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays. The Golden October Cultural Festival will offer immersive experiences centered on five themes—moon viewing, hot spring bathing, mountain stays, wellness, and nighttime excursions—bringing the beauty of moonlight to the area’s natural landscapes, towns, and countryside.

To ensure a reliable power supply for the festivities, State Grid Yichun Power Supply Company has put a dedicated plan in place. Its crews carry out infrared temperature checks and inspections for potential hazards on power lines and equipment in the scenic area, with particular attention to charging points and lighting facilities. The company also stations staff on site, strengthens emergency preparedness, closely monitors changes in electricity demand, and responds promptly to power supply issues. Its reliable power supply keeps the lights shining alongside the moon in the ‘City of the Moon.’
