State Grid Jiayuguan Power Supply Company: Keeping the Historic Pass Bright for the Holidays

As autumn breezes carry the scent of osmanthus, people across China celebrate National Day. To ensure safe and stable power supplies at local attractions, improve the visitor experience, and support the high-quality development of the local cultural and tourism sector, State Grid Jiayuguan Power Supply Company organized regular inspections at key cultural and tourism sites across its service area during the National Day holiday. At Jiayuguan Fantawild Silk Road Dreamland, its team conducted routine patrols and inspections of electrical facilities, helping keep the lights on for visitors enjoying the autumn festivities at the historic pass.

To cope with peak electricity demand during the holiday, State Grid Jiayuguan Power Supply Company began preparations in late September, launching a dedicated power supply assurance program for the National Day holiday. Drawing on electricity consumption data and visitor trends from the past three years, as well as plans for special holiday events, the Company forecast demand and developed tailored power supply plans for each scenic area, with specific countermeasures for each identified risk. It also clarified staff responsibilities, inspection areas, on-duty arrangements, and emergency response procedures. Working proactively with attraction operators, the Company assessed the power needs of new electrical equipment and special performances, identified weak points in the power supply system, and forecast loads on the distribution network, establishing a comprehensive power supply assurance system for the holiday.
