Qingyang: Using Apples to Strengthen Production and Sales Coordination and Enhance Brand Impact

In eastern Gansu this October, orchards are ablaze with vibrant red fruit, filling the autumn air with sweet fragrance. On October 18, the 2026 China Apple Annual Conference and Qingyang Apple Conference opened at the Qingyang Folk Culture Park. Under the theme “Digital Empowerment · Intelligent Computing: Driving High-Quality Growth in the Apple Industry,” the conference focuses on promoting digital and intelligent transformation, strengthening coordination between production and sales, and enhancing brand impact. It established a nationwide platform for fruit industry exchange and cooperation to explore strategies for advancing the apple industry through intelligent computing and chart a shared blueprint for industrial revitalization.

Located within the 35°–37°N “golden belt” for apple cultivation, Qingyang is designated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as an optimal production zone for high-quality apples nationwide. Meeting the key ecological requirements for high-quality apple cultivation, the region yields aromatic, sweet, crisp, nutritious apples that store well, with levels of fructose, peptides, polyphenols, and dietary fiber all surpassing national standards. Qingyang continues to elevate the “Qingyang Apple” brand and has hosted the China Apple Annual Conference for three consecutive years.

Opening Ceremony

This conference serves not only as a major event for exchanges, discussions, and supply-demand matchmaking in China’s apple industry, but also as an important platform to showcase the Qingyang Apple brand and connect with markets nationwide. Running through October 24, the event features a series of activities, including the Qingyang Apple Market exhibition and trade fair, the “Qingyang’s Finest: A Date with You” business matchmaking session, a “Five New” seminar on digital and intelligent development in the fruit industry (covering new varieties, new technologies, new models, new mechanisms, and new farmers), smart orchard tours, the “Bountiful Harvests, Fragrant Fruit on the Longdong Plateau” arts carnival open to the public, and live-streamed orchard tours to support local growers.
