On October 21, staff from the East District Power Supply Center of State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company went to Wuzhai Village, Dongjiao Township, Shunhe Hui District, to carry out special power-use inspections in key areas including irrigation well transformer areas, centralized grain-drying yards and grain drying sites, identify hidden dangers in agriculture-related power lines, and make every effort to ensure safe and stable power consumption for the autumn harvest.
It is currently a critical period for the concentrated harvesting, drying and storage of autumn grains such as corn and peanuts, bringing a substantial rise in power demand for agricultural production. Staff of State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company went deep into farmland to conduct comprehensive inspections of special farmland irrigation power lines, distribution transformers, low-voltage lines and the operation of grain-drying equipment, and check typical hidden dangers. On-site, they explained requirements for power facility protection to agricultural machinery operators, informing them that unauthorized operations are strictly prohibited within power facility protection zones.
For detected hidden dangers, staff immediately eliminated those that could be handled on the spot. Those unable to be resolved right away were recorded and filed one by one, with designated persons in charge of rectification and clear completion time limits set. Meanwhile, staff explained the basic knowledge of safe power use to farmers, distributed promotional materials for safe power consumption on site, and guided farmers on standardized power connection and emergency response procedures through hands-on demonstrations, so as to effectively raise local residents’ awareness of safe power use and self-protection.
Going forward, State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company will keep track of the progress of autumn harvest and sowing, increase inspection frequencies in key areas as needed and open green channels for agriculture-related power consumption, providing power support for farmers’ bumper grain harvests.
