Zibo City Set up "Chinese Culture Corner·Nishan Bookstore" in Gwangju city, South Korea

Recently, Zibo City, Shandong Province established the "Chinese Culture Corner·Nishan Bookstore" in Gwangju City, South Korea. More than 30 participants, including representatives from the Gwangju and Zibo Government, as well as delegates of international students and media outlets, attended the opening ceremony.

The Bookstore displays Zibo album as well as books reflecting Shandong culture and Zibo’s cultural tourism features, arousing great interest among Gwangju citizens.

Gwangju is the hometown of ceramics in South Korea, while Zibo is one of the five capitals of porcelain in China. In September 2003, Zibo and Gwangju formally signed an agreement to establish sister city relations. In the past 20 years since their partnership, the two cities have maintained close exchanges in many fields such as economy, trade, culture, sports, environmental protection, and youth cause.

After the opening of Nishan Bookstore, Zibo will continue to provide Gwangju readers with Chinese books and products that suit their needs and reading habits. At the same time, Zibo will actively organize cultural exchange activities in the Bookstore through various methods, allowing more Gwangju citizens understand this historic city-Zibo.
