Foreign Journalists Visited Dongying, Shandong Province, Explore the Development of the City

On May 30-May 31, “Hi, Shandong - Opportunities in China·Vibrant Dongying” Foreign Media’s Visit to Dongying was held in Dongying City, Shandong Province. This event, co-organized by the Information Office of Dongying Municipal People’s Government and CRI Online Shandong, attracted seven foreign journalists from Cambodia, Pakistan, South Korea, Syria and some other countries. During the two-day trip, they have visited Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve, Center for the Protection, Inheritance and Development of Lyu Opera of Dongying District, Blue Horizon Yiyuan Pastoral Complex and Sun Tzu Cultural Park, and experienced up close the “new opportunities, new vitality and new ecology” of Dongying’s development.

At the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve, foreign journalists visited the Yellow River estuary on a sightseeing ship, and enjoyed the spectacle of "yellow meeting blue" created by the intersection of the Yellow River and the sea. In early summer, the Yellow River Delta is lush and full of vitality. Foreign reporters walked along the plank road, watching gulls flocking on the shallows and willow branches swaying in the wind on both sides.

At the Center for the Protection, Inheritance and Development of Lyu Opera of Dongying District, foreign journalists gained an in-depth understanding of the development history of Lyu Opera, watched classic Lyu Opera performances, tried on professional costumes, and fully appreciated the culture allure of Lyu Opera.

At the Weapon Museum of Sun Tzu Cultural Park, foreign journalists enthusiastically experienced the fun of archery. After that, they learned the craftsmanship of making "Guangrao Qi Writing Brush" and knew more about the history and origins of the Writing Brush.

Finally, at the Blue Horizon Yiyuan Pastoral Complex, journalists admired the modern fruit and vegetable planting scenes in the beautiful rural scenery, learned about the characteristic ecological agricultural products, enjoyed the fun of picking, and felt the vitality of modern agriculture in Dongying.
