Fifth Qingdao Multinationals Summit Kicked Off

The Fifth Qingdao Multinationals Summit took place at Qingdao International Conference Center on August 28. The summit brought together over 550 representatives from 451 multinationals, with 99 of those companies attending for the first time.

Maintaining the theme of Multinationals and China, this session features a series of activities, including a multinationals development forum, a multinationals investment exchange and cooperation conference, a themed promotion conference for SCO demonstration zone, and promotion events for the guest province of honor. The Multinationals in China research reports were released to set up an exchange platform for strengthening cooperation between multinationals and Chinese cities and provinces.

Following the opening ceremony, the multinationals development forum took place. Leaders from multinationals such as ITOCHU Corporation, CJ Group, Saudi Arabian Oil Group (Aramco), and Mizuho Financial Group delivered speeches. The Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce then released the research report Multinationals in China: Sharing New Opportunities of Chinese Modernization.
