Large flocks of migratory birds, such as red-crowned crane, grey heron, egret and white swan have arrived in Hechuan Yellow River Wetland in Heyang County, Weinan City of Shaanxi Province.

There, they can enjoy flying while appreciating the natural charm of the wetland.Covering an area of 165 square kilometers, Hechuan Wetland is the largest lake wetland along the Yellow River. There is sufficient water, plenty of fish and shrimp and thriving reeds.

Since 2019, Weinan has intensified efforts to improve the ecological environment of Hechuan Yellow River Wetland. A series of regulations have been rolled out, including Rules for Protecting Wetland in Weinan Municipality. Greater efforts for environment protection have led to a significant restoration of wetlands, providing an ideal all-season habitat for birds and waterfowl.
