Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region: Build a Diversified Modern Industrial System

On December 21, the press corps of the themed media activity to highlight modern industries and high quality development of Inner Mongolia visited emerging enterprises in Baotou city to learn about the achievements of the city's high-quality development.

Located in Baotou Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, the phase III single crystal pulling and subsequent slicing project of Hongyuan New Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd., in which CNY 3.5 billion has been invested totally, sets a new record in domestic single-crystal silicon industry in terms of the time taken from construction to production. Currently the production line is Inner Mongolia's first large-scale slicing line going into operation, which fills Baotou City's gap in single crystal pulling and subsequent slicing project.

Qingshan District of Baotou City introduced and implemented the phase II project of Shanshan lithium-ion battery, which will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of anode materials for lithium-ion batteries after completion.

At Beiben Trucks Group Co., Ltd., the press corps learned that a hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck will help reduce 132 tons of carbon emissions every year.

Owning the world's largest rare earth mine, Baotou City is vigorously promoting the transformation and upgradation of its rare earth industry and rolling out various measures to advance the high-quality development of the industry to elevate it into an industry with an annual output value of CNY 100 billion.
