GDP of Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province Exceeds 100 Billion Yuan in 2021

In 2021, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, central China's Hubei Province surpassed 100 billion yuan and reached 101.023 billion yuan, officially elevating the district into the "hundred billion club" in terms of economic aggregates. On a higher level, Jiangxia District will develop with more sold strength, and invest in people's livelihood with more fund, to build itself into a demonstration district of high-quality development in central China.

In 2017, Jiangxia District adjusted its development strategy and achieved a regional GDP of 77.098 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5%. The district's growth rate of major economic indicators was higher than the provincial and municipal average. In 2018, Jiangxia District's GDP skipped the 80 billion yuan mark and reached 90.615 billion yuan, ranking first in the economic phalanx of Hubei Province's counties for 11 consecutive years, and among China's top 100 industrial districts for 2 consecutive years. In 2019, following its developing momentum, Jiangxia District launched the first round of sprint towards the GDP goal of 100 billion yuan. It spared no effort once determined a clear goal. By the end of 2021, Jiangxia District completed a regional GDP of 101.023 billion yuan, a 14.0% year-on-year increase, with its growth rate ranking first among Wuhan's new districts.

With the continuous growth of GDP, in the past five years, the annual per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents in Jiangxia District have increased from 29,174 yuan and 17,972 yuan to 38,265 yuan and 23,903 yuan respectively, with an average annual increase of 9.4% and 9.5% respectively. All 49 poverty-stricken villages have been lifted out of poverty. In addition, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Jiangxia District ranks first in Hubei province. Residents in Jiangxia District are showered with more and more economic benefits, and enjoying tangible and solid welfare.
