"I didn't expect to watch intangible cultural heritage performances and even try tabletop curling near my home. It is a meaningful weekend," said Mrs. Wu, a resident who took her children out to spend the weekend at the MCC World Cultural Square in Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang City.

Recently, the 30th Colorful Weekend Cultural Activities in Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang City was held at the MCC World Cultural Square. Cultural and sports events welcomed by people such as public theatrical performances, exhibitions and promoting of intangible cultural heritage items, hands-on trying of tabletop curling, and ski training on simulators were held on site. Residents can understand the profound traditional culture and enjoy ice and snow sports while appreciating performances.

In recent years, Yuhua District has taken advantage of the opportunity of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics to vigorously promote ice and snow sports. For example, it has successively held a variety of activities such as the Ice and Snow Games, Ice and Snow Caravan, and Public Ice and Snow Week, which injects vitality into the development of ice and snow sports in Yuhua District. These activities create a strong ice and snow sports atmosphere, greatly boosting the public's enthusiasm to participate in winter sports.
