A team from Chinese National Geography spent a year exploring Dalian for the book, which features seven hand-picked routes presented in detail with a descriptive text of over 200,000 characters and more than 200 specially chosen pictures meant to encompass the best of all that Dalian has to offer, from mountains and sea to culture and fashion. Discover Dalian, Explore More’s special design consists of four chapters – The Seascape, Sea and the City, The Fruits of the Sea, and Touring the Sea, each taking readers on an in-depth voyage into the natural landscape, history and culture, local produce, and special tours available. The book also contains interesting bits of information, like secrets of the lighthouse and the mystery of Dalian’s big cherries, for locals to learn more about their hometown and arouse the interest of potential tourists.
