Shenyang: Excelling in Business Services in the Pilot Program of the Further Opening-Up of the Service Industry

Last December, Shenyang gained approval to launch the third batch of comprehensive pilot programs for further opening up the service sector. Since then, the city has been actively promoting the Shenyang Comprehensive Pilot Program. As a vital part of the program, the entire business service sector in Shenyang has been gaining momentum, aiming to provide exceptional business services in the context of the service industry opening up.

From May 25 to May 28, the 2023 China (Shenyang) International Consumer Products Expo was held. With an exhibition area spanning 40,000 square meters, the expo attracted over 500 participating companies, over 2,000 exhibitors, and 153,000 visitors. On-site transactions also amounted to CNY 156 million.

During the first five months of this year, Shenyang hosted 103 exhibitions, covering an exhibition area of 816,000 square meters. In addition, the city is expected to host over 200 exhibitions throughout the year.

In February, Shenyang launched the first batch of the top ten consumer scenarios, opening 45 night economy streets and achieving an average daily footfall of over 1.82 million people.

Currently, Shenyang operates a total of 32 international flight routes. Since the direct flight inauguration of a Boeing 747 air freighter from Shenyang to Los Angeles for cross-border e-commerce, there have been a total of 29 flights. Furthermore, there have been four international routes to different destinations, including Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka. An additional seven international passenger flights to Busan, Nha Trang, Singapore, and other locations have also been resumed.

This March, the China Railway Express (Shenyang) Hub commenced operations. So far, the hub has handled a wide variety of exported goods, reaching a record high of 303 types. During the first five months of this year, there were 423 train runs, an increase of 39.1 percent, ranking first in northeast China and top in the entire country.
