Chongzhou Invites Foreign Youths to Share "Knowledge of the Universiade" to Promote Cultural Exchanges Between China and Foreign Countries

On July 6, the International Community Service Center of Daoming Bamboo Art Village in Chongzhou City, Chengdu held the themed activity of "Love Chengdu · Welcome the Universiade" Bamboo Art Village International Community Entering the Universiade.

Oliver Jones, keynote speaker of the event, is a video blogger who loves sports from the U.K.. He has lived in Chengdu for more than three years. At the event, Oliver started his speech from the origin of the Universiade, and introduced the history and wonderful stories of the Universiade to the audience by sharing the documentary of the wonderful moments of the game. In addition, he also introduced and taught common English words and phrases related to the Universiade by explaining the themed slides of the game. During his speech, Oliver actively interacted with the audience, conducted scene simulations, and led everyone to practice oral English.

At the event site, the audience also received exquisite souvenirs of the Chengdu Universiade mascot "Rongbao" series.

This event is an epitome of the continuous foreign cultural exchanges carried out by the Bamboo Art Village International Community Service Center. It allowed the audience to further feel the atmosphere understand the knowledge of the Universiade. It also played a positive role in building a bridge of international communication and promoting cultural exchanges for the international community of Bamboo Art Village.
