The launching ceremony of "Charming Beijing" weekly broadcast programme held in BiH

On October 28th, local time in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the launching ceremony of "Charming Beijing" weekly broadcast programme and the promotion event of Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games were held in Sarajevo, the capital of BiH.

The event was co-sponsored by the Information Office of People's Government of Beijing Municipality and Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, directed by the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and co-organised by Beijing Media Network.

Ivica Saric, Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo was delivering a speech at the launching ceremony

At the launching ceremony, Ivica Saric, Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo, said, "We should enhance the friendship and cooperation brought by the Belt and Road and '17+1', and further cooperate with China in various fields." Ivica Saric wished that he could watch the "Charming Beijing" TV programme soon in Sarajevo.

At the launching ceremony, Ji Ping, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of of China to BiH said that the "Charming Beijing" programme has deeply connected Beijing and Sarajevo, the two historical cities with profound cultural heritage and Olympic spirit. "I wish the friendship between Bing Dwen Dwen and Vucko will last forever, and hearts of two peoples will be closely linked."

Gao Tian, Deputy Director of Culture and Ceremonies Department, Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games said, "Beijing 2022 coincides with traditional Chinese New Year. Therefore, I sincerely welcome friends from BiH to visit Beijing, enjoy winter, watch the Winter Olympics, and celebrate the Chinese New Year."

Xu Hejian, Deputy Director of Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Director of Information Office of People's Government of Beijing Municipality said that Beijing and Sarajevo have many similarities. By using the broadcast of "Charming Beijing" in BiH as an opportunity, Xu Hejian hoped to make more BiH audience fall in love with China and Beijing.

The Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games have conducted a special promotion event for the Winter Olympics, and introduced the mascots, competitions, and venue planning of the Beijing 2022 to guests.

The "Charming Beijing" programme will be broadcast on Radio and TV of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) from December 1st. The relevant person in charge of BHRT pointed out that the "Charming Beijing" weekly broadcast programme is the largest cooperative broadcast project of the BHRT.
