Xuchang Upgrades Rural Transformer to Improve Power Supply Quality

The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has recently completed the upgrade of the No. 3 distribution transformer area in Luoyi Village, effectively meeting the growing power demand of local residents.

During routine field inspections, staff discovered that the original 100 kVA distribution transformer serving Luoyi No. 3 in Huashi Town could no longer meet the electricity needs of the local community. To address this issue, the company decided to carry out a capacity upgrade to improve the village’s power supply quality.

To ensure smooth project execution, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company conducted early coordination and communication with local authorities. Throughout the construction process, the team strictly adhered to safety protocols and strengthened on-site safety management to guarantee construction safety.

To minimize the impact on residents’ electricity usage, the crew adopted a “build first, switch over later” approach and arranged the construction sequence in a reasonable manner. After the upgrade, the distribution area not only improved the safety of electricity use for local residents but also resolved issues such as low voltage and undersized wires in low-voltage household connections.
