First Steel Tower Successfully Assembled for Zhangye Power Plant 750kV Transmission Project in Gansu

On July 9, the first steel tower for the 750kV coal-fired power transmission expansion project at Zhangye Power Plant in Gansu Province was successfully assembled. This marks the project’s transition into the critical stage of tower construction, following the ahead-of-schedule completion of foundation works — a significant milestone in overall project progress.

The 750kV transmission line project of the Zhangye Power Plant is a key energy infrastructure initiative at both the provincial and municipal levels. It serves as a crucial channel for transmitting electricity generated by the plant's 2×1GW expansion units. Once operational, the project will significantly enhance the peak regulation capacity and operational stability of the Zhangye power grid.
