On October 14, the Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center—a core landmark project of Yiwu's sixth-generation market—officially opened in Zhejiang Province. This marks the completion of a new round of upgrades for Yiwu Market and the beginning of its transformation from a traditional trade model to a digital trade ecosystem. The city is forging ahead to build a global benchmark for digitalized, internationalized, modern, and low-carbon trade. State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power continues to enhance its power supply reliability and service quality, providing strong power support for Yiwu's steady progress from the "World Supermarket" to a "Global Digital Trade Hub."
With a total floor area exceeding 1.25 million square meters, the Global Digital Trade Center serves as a digital platform housing more than 5,000 business units and equipped with 5G-A and 10-gigabit optical networks. Its power supply stability is crucial for the smooth operation of key functions such as digital trade and cross-border transactions, making it a typical scenario with exceptionally high demands for "Zero Power Interruption."
To meet these needs, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company (Zhejiang) has developed a "full-voltage dual-power supply" mode, "millisecond-level" fully automated fault-handling technology, and an "intelligent dispatch linkage" emergency power guarantee plan. The company has strengthened its power supply assurance by conducting comprehensive special inspections on 110 kV substations, 110 kV transmission lines, 10 kV distribution networks, and low-voltage transformer areas. Over 900 personnel deployments were made, 23 defects were rectified, and more than 250 inspections were conducted on substations, lines, and equipment. In addition, a thorough inspection of medium- and low-voltage lines within the market was conducted. For nine key power guarantee sites—including the Digital Trade Center's exhibition hall—the company implemented dual protection measures through "UPS uninterruptible power systems + emergency generator vehicles." Twenty-one duty points have been established to provide 24-hour on-site monitoring and response.
Furthermore, the company organized and conducted specialized power supply guarantee drills, formulating eight types of emergency response plans for potential contingencies. Through these practical exercises, it comprehensively tested the effectiveness of the power assurance plans and the emergency response capabilities of its teams, laying a solid foundation for the safe and reliable operation of the Global Digital Trade Center.
